How Mobitravel works
With Mobitravel drivers can ask for permission to travel outside the Schengen area with a vehicle that is not their own. The vehicle owner will approve or deny this request in the Mobitravel platform. After an online payment of 99,00 EUR Mobeyond will issue a Travel Certificate, formalizing this approval and where necessary it will be legitimized by the government for international recognition.
Drivers need to comply with the guidelines the vehicle owner imposes, we recommend traveling drivers must at all times, additional to their Travel Certificate, have their valid driving licence, valid insurance certificate and original registration certificate of the vehicle on board.

Certificates for the UK & Morocco
Since Brexit, the UK has imposed stricter formalities at its borders. Vehicle document checks may be carried out by UK Customs (HMRC). At all times, the driver of the vehicle must be able to demonstrate that they have permission from the owner to use the vehicle in the UK.
Therefore, a travel certificate is recommended for drivers travelling to the UK with a leased or third-party-owned vehicle. The vehicle's TPL insurance will also remain valid, provided the UK is listed on the insurance card. However, drivers must always carry their valid driving licence, insurance certificate, and original registration certificate on board.
In 2023, Morocco simplified its requirements for vehicle authorization, as per Circular No. 6465/311 dated 01/06/2023. Foreign vehicles can now enter Morocco with a non-legalised power of attorney from the owner, provided the original vehicle documents are presented at customs.
As a result, Morocco certificates will now be certified solely by Mobeyond, without any additional legalisation.

Mobitravel allows drivers to request a Travel Certificate for smooth driving outside the Schengen or EU zone.
To request a certificate, you’ll need some specific information. Having these documents ready will help you complete the form quickly:
- Your identity card or passport ready
- The vehicle registration number
- The licence plate document
