Exciting Update!

We’re thrilled to announce a major update to the Mobifines platform: Flemish parking fines are now officially part of our service offering! This new development follows a technical and legal procedure after the approval of a decree by the Flemish Parliament.

As per this decree, parking fines and charges must now be collected from the registered driver of the vehicle, as long as their details are available in the Crossroads Bank for Vehicles (KBV). Additionally, Flemish municipalities now have direct access to the KBV for issuing parking permits.

This new feature brings significant benefits to both plate holders and drivers alike. From now on, parking fines will be processed with the same efficiency as speeding tickets, meaning they will be issued directly in the name of the vehicle’s driver—eliminating administrative hassle and manual handling. This also enhances privacy protection for the driver, as only they will have full access to the details of the fine.
